Getronics wins big Shell services deals

Solutions and service provider Getronics has been selected by Shell Australia to deploy and maintain additional desktops across the refiner's Australasian operations.

This follows the global announcement of an agreement between Shell Services International (SSI) and Getronics worth approximately $131 million. The deal will see Getronics create and maintain a common, unified desktop and server-operating environment in around 130 countries, across the global operations of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group.

Shell spokespeople were unavailable for comment, however, Getronics Australia managing director Robin Dixon said the global contract expands the current relationship and will provide Getronics additional opportunities to demonstrate the strength of its service offering.
