Lexmark OptraImage T610sx

Lexmark's OptraImage T610sx is a multifunction printer for small workgroups, combining multifunctionality with network colour scanning.

Designed to help businesses reduce the costs associated with document production and distribution, the monochrome printer allows users to scan colour documents to user workstations, e-mail addresses and storage servers. Lexmark provides a set of management tools that enables automated and centralised deployment of printing, scanning and copying functions as well as end-user support and asset management.

The OptraImage range is scalable to meet the changes in the output demands of a business. Lexmark provides a variety of printing solutions to upgrade the function of the printer for applications such as bar code printing, electronic forms and drag-and-drop printing of tiff, pdf and HTML documents from an optional ImageQuick SIMM.

HP LaserJet 8150

Hewlett-Packard has released its range of LaserJet 8150 multifunction products. Designed to advance the company's printing e-services strategy, the 8150 series features embedded technologies which allow users access to a growing number of Internet-based services and solutions.

As well as being the fastest printers in HP's range, with printing speeds up to 32ppm and a 250MHz processor, the series features duplexing, copying and send-to-e-mail capabilities.

For the first time, HP has also incorporated the ChaiServer Embedded Virtual Machine (EVM), a programming environment that allows the printer to execute Java applications, and thus, a range of Internet-based custom applications.

The printers also incorporate an embedded Web server which, combined with HP Web JetAdmin software, facilitates remote management of printing services.
