CA Steps Up its Focus on Managed Services with Four New Channel Appointments

<p>Sydney, 22 April 2009 – CA (NASDAQ: CA) has today announced the appointment of four new channel hires to increase its focus on the Managed Services market in Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>Klasie Holtzhausen, Director of Channel Sales for CA in Australia said “CA believes that under the current economic climate, the managed services business will continue to grow as it provides customers with the options and best practices to best support their IT environments.”</p>
<p>“CA has always had a focus on the managed services market and CA’s tools fit this model very well. This has made it a natural fit for CA to commit new staff and resources to our partners and customers in this area,” said Holtzhausen.</p>
<p>Wilhelm Hamman has been appointed as a Channel Account Director for Australia. The role will see Hamman working on CA’s channel business with a focus on managed services. Hamman has worked for CA’s South African operations for nine years in various technical and sales and roles and working closely with service providers in the region.</p>
<p>Vivek Santhana and Murray Whitlocke-Jones have both taken roles as Customer Solution Architects in Australia. Both will be responsible for working with some of CA’s principal partners to provide a greater focus for CA’s managed service offerings.</p>
<p>Santhana has over ten years experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry, having worked in the US for AT&amp;T and Verizon. Santhana’s joined He joined CA through its acquisition of Concord Communications three and a half years ago. His first role being a Principal Consultant in CA’s technical sales organisation.</p>
<p>Whitlocke-Jones has worked within the managed services industry throughout his career, most recently holding positions at Promina and Suncorp as a solutions architect. Prior to this, he also spent seven years with Compaq/HP as a worldwide consultant for Managed Services and outsourcing.</p>
<p>Matthew Rounthwaite has been appointed as a Customer Solution Architect based in New Zealand. In this role, Rounthwaite will focus predominantly on CA’s managed services business including assisting with the development of CA offerings. Prior to taking this newly created role at CA, Rounthwaite held various architect positions including at Unisys in both New Zealand and the UK. Most recently he was the head of Security for CA’s services division in EMEA.</p>
<p>“Dedicating new team members to this part of the business demonstrates CA’s intent to grow and invest in our partners and customers. We have a revised and refreshed channel team and I am confident that their individual expertise will be a tremendous asset to CA’s managed services business,” said Holtzhausen.</p>
