Cellnet’s green credentials have received a boost, with the distributor launching its own line of green handsfree car kits.
The Free2Talk BC900 device provides users with an eco-friendly, solar powered handsfree car kit. It comes with a number of advanced features such as echo cancellation and noise suppression systems with full-duplex sound quality.
Cellnet general manager of product development and procurement, Julian Phua, said the product launch furthered Cellnet's presence in the growing "green" arena and follows on from the distributor’s affiliation with the Carbon Neutral program.
“Looking at our future roadmap of products, there will be an emphasis where possible of releasing complementary products to the Carbon Neutral initiative,” he said.
Cellnet has already offered the product to its telco partners, Phua said, and so far the response was positive.
“We’re offering the product at a competitive price point – the convenience of getting rid of cables in the car while charging is getting good feedback,” he added.
Cellnet has a number of other green initiatives in the works, Phua said, and will unveil those in the coming months.
