Extend sells SAP Business One Practice to Enabling

Acquisition of the SAP business makes Enabling a more prominent partner as it looks to continue to expand this year

SAP gold channel partner, Extend Technologies, has sold its SAP Business One Practice to services provider, Enabling, for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will see more than 25 clients transferred to Enabling with the service provider also obtaining Extend’s SAP Business One three full-time staff and contractors. The additions increase Enabling's headcount to 110.

Enabling marketing communications manager, Sarah Poole, said the business offered the company an opportunity to gain more exposure in the market and made it a major solution partner for SAP. “Max White [Extend managing director] was out in the market looking for the right type of alliance partner and company to sell this portion of their business,” she said. “We have very similar philosophies and culture and could see a very strong alliance with Enabling.

“We found that we were lacking in a particular solution for a customer and this certainly gives us exposure to another segment of the market that we weren’t able to service previously.”

Poole said the company wanted to add more staff in the next 12 months and expressed hopes the acquisition would have a significant impact on the market.
