Dell has launched a new line of enterprise products that will be available to its channel.
Five new blades and servers based on the Intel Nahalem processor, five new enterprise storage solutions and three new workstations have been released, along with a new management console.
Dell channel strategy and acquisition manager, Rob Makin, said the new products would all be available to channel partners, and would help the vendor’s program as it continued to recruit partners that fit with its strategy.
“Myself and my team are finding a number of partners out there are looking for a credible tier one vendor that can both complement and compete with the likes of HP – we see ourselves as filling that role,” Makin said.
Dell launched its channel program in September of last year.
Makin said the vendor was pleased at how the program was going, and the dedicated channel team had grown to 20. But he was unable to comment on the number of partners that had signed on to the program.
This week Dell also signed its first distributors in the US.
