Trapeze Networks and Newbury Networks now part of Belden

<p>A leader in wireless technology, Trapeze Networks, has been acquired by Belden, making Belden the world’s largest unified wired and wireless solutions provider.</p>
<p>It means Belden now delivers comprehensive signal transmission solutions through copper cable, fibre optic and wireless technology.</p>
<p>Adding to Belden's wireless expertise, Trapeze recently acquired Newbury Networks, a leader in WLAN location systems and asset tracking. Both Trapeze and Newbury are headquartered in California with their products distributed in Australia by 24/7 Distribution and Ethan Group, a healthcare specialist.</p>
<p>More than 4,000 large enterprises worldwide have deployed Trapeze WLAN technology including Logitech, the Universities of Minnesota and Utah, Hangzhou Wi-Fi City and the UK's third largest airport, Manchester Airport.</p>
<p>Mr Adam Callender, Belden's regional manager for Australia and New Zealand said the Trapeze acquisition adds a leader in enterprise wireless LAN technology to Belden's suite of signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications.</p>
