Local software developers Happen Business and iSell have partnered to integrate their respective reseller products to create a product designed to make the lives of resellers a whole lot easier.
Under the agreement, the developers will combine Happen's Jim2 Business Engine software product with iSell's ITQuoter application.
Jim2 Business Engine is designed to control resellers' workflow cycle -- from stock control, sales, servicing and customer contact, to invoicing and accounts. ITQuoter is a system specifically designed to streamline and enhance resellers' sales functions through rapid quote creation, sales management, tracking and final-order handling. It combines and utilises a single database containing information and pricing on around 300,000 products from various distributors.
The developers have been negotiating the technical and practical integration of the two applications over the past two months.
"By sharing the products' intellectual property and providing a clear pathway for the two products to interact, we can offer resellers access to the most efficient and accurate method of tracking, quoting, buying and selling IT products," said Hugh Evans, CEO of Happen Business.
"Many of our IT sites [using Jim2] already use ITQuoter to provide a live feed overnight from distributors, giving their business all the new product information and price changes. By feeding that data automatically into a live business engine, staff can sell it at the right price every time.
"Quote it, buy it, sell it, track it. It's a great fit."
