Quit emulating offline!

A new report from Forrester Research indicates that, just like regular e-tailers, luxury online retailers need to base their services on giving customers convenience, confidence and control.

According to Forrester analyst Ekaterina O Walsh, the affluent have held back from buying luxury goods online, despite their readiness to use the Net, because they are not getting what they want.

"Purveyors of luxury goods should quit trying to re-create an offline shopping experience," Walsh advised.
