Forge Data Solutions, a niche software developer and reseller based in the Australian Technology Park in Sydney's Redfern, has announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for Harte Hanks' Trillium Software.
Forge Data is a privately owned company employing 45 people, which for the last seven years has resold and developed value-added software around Brio business intelligence software. Essentially, Forge's tools allow developers to render dashboards that extract information from multiple data sources and present them in a manner more palatable to senior management.
Trillium Software creates tools that report on the way data is held, in what format it is held, and what relationships it holds with other data in any complex enterprise system. Traditionally this was sold direct in Australia by Harte Hanks, but after a restructuring in mid-2001 the company decided to move to a channels model.
"We have built a great business adding value and writing complementary software for Brio," said Forge Data Solutions managing director Will Rooke.
"Now Brio's resellers are recommending our tools around the globe. We look forward to achieving that same synergy with Trillium Software."
