Accessories made available Anyware in Australia

Accessories distributor Anyware Computer Accessories is branching out from its traditional Melbourne and Sydney strongholds with new offices in Adelaide and Brisbane.

The Adelaide office, situated in the suburb of Findon, opened yesterday and the Brisbane office will be up and running before the end of November, according to Anyware managing director Garrison Huang.

Both locations will have sales and warehouse facilities, which Huang said would allow for "better and quicker service" for customers in South Australia and Queensland. With a presence in Adelaide and Brisbane, Huang is expecting to dramatically grow the number of resellers it sells to in both regions as well as the volume it sells to current customers.

"We want to be number one in the South Australian and Queensland computer accessories markets," Huang said. "We can do that very easily with local sales offices and satellite warehouses.

"We already have a branch in Perth and are looking at opening in Auckland next year."

While he could not put a value on how much the computer accessories market is worth in Australia, Huang did say that it is "phenomenal" and "still growing". He also said that while it is not exactly recession proof, it has been holding up remarkably well in the current environment.

"People may not have the money to buy new systems but they are always interested in the latest accessories and peripherals," according to Huang.

He said the beauty of the accessories market is that "the product range changes every day". There is always a new fad or a must-have item that runs hot while there are also the stable products that just tick along.

"We supply close to 2,000 items," he said. "There is always something in demand. Our goal is to find the best products from around the world and to market them to our growing list of resellers, dealers and independent retailers around the country."

Anyware Computer Accessories concentrates entirely on channel-based sales and publishes an extensive catalogue for resellers at regular intervals. It currently focuses on a customer base of over 5,000, which are mostly in the IT channel but also in other industries.
