The hype is definitely cooling over B2B solutions and there is far less corporate urgency about getting online procurement solutions up and running, but the big end of town has not lost sight of the promised efficiencies and cost savings.corProcure, the mega online exchange set up by 14 of Australia's largest corporations, is forging ahead with its platform development and today announced it had appointed Tibco as "infrastructure software supplier".
A press statement said corProcure will be incorporating three Tibco product suites after "a rigourous evaluation process of seven leading middleware products".
"The final selection was based on a number of criteria ranging from technical to strategic," Len Ward, corPrcoure's CEO, said in the statement.
Perhaps an interesting development about the arrangement from a channel perspective is the fact that corProcure will now also be acting as a distributor for Tibco's integration software.
The distribution agreement includes Tibco's ActiveEntrprise which is providing the company's enterprise integration platform as well as ActivePortal and ActiveExchange.
