Compaq adopts Intel's NetStructure line

Compaq Computer announced on Tuesday that it will recommend and sell Intel's NetStructure line of networking equipment and servers.

The Intel products will be sold alongside Compaq's own TaskSmart line of appliance servers, Compaq said.

The agreement between Compaq and Intel is similar to Intel's deals with NEC, Hewlett-Packard Japan, Hitachi and Fujitsu, announced on January 25, in which Intel will supply its partners with products and technology from its NetStructure line on an original equipment manufacturer basis.

Financial terms of the deal between Compaq and Intel were not disclosed.
