Acer has opened its first office in Hobart, Tasmania, in an effort to get closer to customers and partners in the Apple Isle.
Business development manager Nick Hillier has been appointed for the solo mission, heading up the new office.
Tasmanian customers and resellers have traditionally had their notebooks repaired by the State's authorised Acer repair centre in Hobart, which is run by Getronics Australia. With the opening of its new Hobart office, the vendor will now offer its two-hour Commitment Warranty Express Service to Tassie customers.
Popular in mainland Australian states, the service allows those customers in the Hobart metropolitan area to have their notebooks repaired within two hours of the time the machine is dropped off to the Getronics Repair Centre. Acer customers in the rest of Tasmania are assured that any notebook delivered for repairs to the Getronics facility will not spend more than 24 hours in the repair centre. The vendor also offers the option of a pick-up and return of notebooks for customers.
