Express Data has become the first Australian distributor to join the Storage Networking Industry Association Australia and New Zealand (SNIA ANZ).
The non-profit vendor neutral organisation consists of storage and information management vendors, channel partners and users keen to promote IT storage and management information. In a statement, Express Data CEO, Ross Cochrane, said it was proud to be part of an organisation whose mission is to offer impartial advice regarding storage-related issues.
“In addition to businesses needing increasingly more storage capacity, they need storage solutions that often involve multiple technology vendors – this is when the integration channel can really add value,” he said.
Express Data communications manager, Mark Thackray, said being part of SNIA would allow it to achieve a high level of professionalism and provide more sophisticated information to resellers.
“Express Data is at a particular stage where we want to be pushed,” he said. “We want to know where things are going in terms of storage and networking solutions and we want to be a part of that.”
For SNIA ANZ chairman and Symantec managing director, Craig Scroggie, the addition of Express Data to SNIA’s membership demonstrates the value of what the association can offer the channel community.
Express Data is the first Australian distributor to join SNIA ANZ. The organisation has operated in Australia for four years.
