HTC has appointed a new local channel sales manager

HTC has appointed former LG account manager, Minh Phan, as its local channel sales manager, with more appointments to come as it seeks to grow its market presence.

In the newly created position, Phan will focus on HTC’s indirect retail channels and will be in charge of the vendor’s go-to-market strategies for the local launch of its branded accessories.

HTC sales and marketing director, Anthony Petts, said the appointment was made in response to growth in its channel markets.

“We’ve got a team of 12 with two more to come,” he said. “The goal for the company is to continue our growth and expansion with the windows mobile and android platforms and to create the accessory business that HTC has globally in Australia and New Zealand.

“We’ll be looking to grow the range of products we take to market, too, in all categories from consumer to high-end.”

Phan was previously an account manager for LG Electronics. He has also held positions with Optus SingTel and was NSW sales account manager for Cellnet.
