Accessories vendor, Targus, has unveiled its new PartnerVantage program in a bid to improve reseller sales and marketing resources.
Commercial marketing manager, Jacinda Barratt, said a key focus this year was to work closer and create a more formalised relationship with channel partners.
“We’ve never actually had a website with all partner information collated within one site,” she said. “It also ensures everybody understands the latest products that are coming out and that partners have information upfront. There will be a lot of back-end support for our partners.”
The program will see Targus provide online marketing collateral, priority sales and technical support, online sales tools, product information, lead generation, not-for-resale stock and sample programs for partners. The program will also feature access to a Bid Desk Assistance team and training programs, which will be rolled out later this year.
“If resellers have projects on that they need special pricing for, then we can work with them on that as well,” she said.
Barratt said the program was all open to all types of resellers and the vendor would look to add tiers down the track. Targus has about 2000 resellers Australia-wide.
“We do have a lot of resellers, but this is helping them to work a bit better and get more value out of that,” she said. Distribution sales manager, Steve Lovelace, added resellers could increase their margins through providing additional accessories to the notebook sale.
“We’re after all types of notebook resellers from large corporate organisations through to SMB as well,” he said.
