Specialist print distributor, Phoenix Toner, is offering its resellers managed print services to take to customers.
Phoenix Toner general manager, Don Bentley, said the program was in response to industry demands, which were moving towards print management solutions.
“End-user organisations are seeing the benefits of managed services, but a lot of the resellers, especially the smaller ones, either don’t yet understand print management, or lack the resources to implement it,” he said. “A year from now, those resellers might find doors closed to them. The managed print services we’re offering will allow the reseller to keep the account as it moves to managed print, and gain a passive revenue stream out of it as well.”
Bentley said a number of resellers already expressed interest in the services, which was open to any partner.
“Business is doing okay at the moment,” he said. “Things are a bit slower, but costs are under control, and I believe we’re in a recession resistant part of the industry. I’ve been through a recession before, and I’ve found that if anything, organisations print more, in terms of documents and reports for business analysis.”
Phoenix Toner is a Authorised HP consumable and spare parts distributor, and also has partnerships with Lexmark, Epson, Oki, Kyocera and Brother. It was also appointed a distributor for InfoPrint Solutions last year.
