ASX-listed services provider, ASG Group (ASX: ASZ), has announced a bumper half-year to December 31, with net profits hitting $4.9 million.

The result is a 16 per cent increase on the same period last year and came with a 25.7 per cent increase in revenues, hitting $64.1 million.

In a statement to the ASX, the company attributed the result to new wins with the Federal Government and Symbion.

In January, the company announced it had landed new contracts worth $30 million. Fellow listed companies, CSG (ASX: CSV), Data#3 (ASX:DTL), and SMS Management and Technology (ASX: SMX) also posted solid results for the half-year.

However, the performance is in stark contrast to Oakton (ASX:OKN) and ComputerCorp (ASX: CZP), who both attributed their poor half-year results to a slowing in Federal Government spending.

ASG had not returned calls at the time of publication.
