Software development tools vendor Borland has promoted Michelle Kinna to the role of sales manager of channel and partners for Australia and New Zealand.
Kinna has spent the past 12 months in the role of marketing director and now faces the task of reinvigorating Borland's channel. The newly created role reflects the maturation of Borland's channel after the company appointed Alstom IT as an additional distributor and set its sights firmly on the software developer community.
The former 3Com executive will focus on integrating the company's various sales partners into Borland's channel and partner model. This will include different ways of working with each category of partner and endeavouring to find the best structure for each relationship, the vendor claimed in a company statement.
Kinna will be based in Sydney and will report directly to Andrew Munro, managing director of Borland Australia and New Zealand.
Andra Mednis takes over Kinna's former role as Borland's marketing manager.
