Acer will integrate Flow DSL services with its build-your-own site for retailers and resellers for customers purchasing Acer desktops, notebooks or servers.
The agreement will see Flow Communications offer customers the option to purchase a D-Link DSL modem and apply for Flow's broadband service through Acer's online site.
"It's a retail bundle so it is appealing to the SOHO, SMB and SME markets," said Flow Communications' national channel manager, Glen Young. "The major feature is simplifying the process for the customer. By integrating this with PC purchases, it is making it easier for them to get into the broadband space. A lot of people simply don't know where to look [for broadband services]."
For Acer, the decision to offer broadband came in response to a growing number of requests for the bundle. Acer will expand its offerings that incorporate DSL later in the year. The vendor looked at four other providers before settling on the Flow offering.
The new bundle will launch on Acer's site on July 20.
