<p>Sydney, 22 January 2004 – Acer Computer Australia, Australia’s number three PC vendor and the fastest growing PC brand*, today announced the launch of the exclusive Ferrari 3000 notebook. The Ferrari 3000 from Acer is the only notebook to sport Ferrari Red, a globally recognised color signifying passion, power, style and success. The Ferrari 3000 is a striking symbol of cooperation between Acer and Ferrari, each of which has a reputation for technology, innovation and performance.</p>

<p>An elegant, slender and light chassis in Ferrari red and silver colors, the Ferrari 3000 features a 15-inch TFT screen with higher brightness supported by a speedy graphics engine, ATi RADEON MOBILITY 9200 with 128MB video memory, 512MB DDR RAM and 60GB hard disk, as well as a DVD dual optical solution and powered by the AMD Athlon XP 2500+ processor.</p>
<p>"Mobile" represents connectivity-ease under all circumstance, which the exclusive Ferrari 3000 guarantees thanks to wireless connectivity (standard IEEE 802.11g) and PAN with built-in Bluetooth, LAN connections with 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet and phone line support with 56Kbps V.92 modem or fax.</p>
<p>Displaying, managing or storing images and videos, or connecting videos and digital peripherals are made easy with the Ferrari 3000, with its DVD player/burner, quick USB ports, S-Video output, FireWire IEEE 1394 interface and 4-in-1 memory card reader.</p>
