Audio visual vendor, ViewSonic, has appointed William Tse to the position of country manager to replace the outgoing Brendan Frawley.
Previously the vendor’s account manager, Tse said there were no plans to replace the role he vacated, with the responsibilities to be shared between himself and Ian Law, the business development manager.
ViewSonic’s marketing manager, Erie Zhang, has also left the company for a position at Australian Consolidated Press.
Tse said he was looking for a replacement to join the vendor’s five staff in Australia, while his other goals are to continue the its push into the corporate and retail spaces.
“Until recently we’ve been known as a LCD monitor vendor, but we’ve expanded into areas such as projectors, commercial panels, digital photo frames and TVs. My goal is to continue to push that message to the market,” Tse said.
“The last quarter of 2008 was a bit flat for us, but I believe that was in line with the rest of the industry. We’re on track for January and February to achieve our planned goals.”
At the time of publication, Frawley could not discuss his future movements.
