Brisbane-based Eos Solutions is the latest reseller to become a Google enterprise partner.
Eos director and principal consultant, Sean Kelly, said the company had approached Google and had been interested in its Search Appliance for a while.
“The Search Appliance fitted in with our business model, so we thought we would explore it a bit further. Their enterprise solution focuses on three areas and we’re just looking at Search Appliance at this stage,” he said. “It offers our customers the strength of Google Search that everyone is used to on the web and bringing it within the firewall to all the information within the organisation.”
Kelly said Eos built portals and applications for customers and had used point-based search solutions.
“This allows us to have a single box to search across all repositories within an organisation,” he said.
To gain enterprise partner status, Eos had to complete Google’s certification process that required a minimum of two staff to undertake technical training. Eos has about 40 staff nationally.
Having gained enterprise status, Eos will get access to resources including pre-sales, sales and leads as well as recognition on Google’s website as being a certified partner and support.
Google recently announced its intentions to target the Australian reseller market place in a bid to push through its online-based business applications including Apps, Search Appliance and Maps. Other Google resellers include SMS and Brisbane-based Web developer, devnet.
