Ultra mobile PC distributor, Tegatech has added IT financer, Moneytech to its credit facility offering for resellers to provide extra payment options.
Tegatech principal, Hugo Ortega, said being a small boutique distributor, it was hard to fund credit terms for the 350 resellers it deals with.
“They’ve been asking us to do so for a long time and the maximum we’ve been able to give them is 14 days, but through Moneytech we’re now able to offer up to 45 days,” he said. “We can now offer payment terms to our resellers without taking on-board any additional liability. It allows us to grow our business and our resellers’ business without putting any undue pressure on both of us.”
Moneytech accounts provide resellers with credit limits from $5000 to $250,000, secure transaction process and flexible payments across 120 days.
AVG also recently signed on to provide Moneytech credit facilities along with more than 60 other distributors including Synnex, Dicker Data, Cellnet, itX and Express Online.
“Times are very tough in the IT industry at the moment, and so we’re here to work with all partners for the long term. If we can help our customers grow their business, it’s a win/win situation for all of us,” Moneytech managing director, Hugh Evans, said.
This year, Evans hopes to further enhance Moneytech’s presence in the local market.
“We think that we’re only scratching the surface in the amount of transactions that we fund for the industry,” he said.
In other news, Tegatech plans to launch its own brand of computers in the new fiscal year.
“We may delve into that earlier with a new ultra mobile PC that maybe launched around March, but we’re working on that right now,” Ortega said.
