Managed services provider, Ensyst, has acquired Microsoft partner, NT Solutions, for an undisclosed sum.
Ensyst focuses on the mid-size market, catering up to 1000 seats and has three lines of business that NT Solutions will fall into: Managed services, project services and business services including SharePoint and software development. Ensyst general manager, Nick Sone, said the pair had similar business models and customer sets.
“NT also has a very close relationship with Microsoft like we do and that’s probably the driving factor,” he said. “I’ve made it well known among the smaller system integrators that we’re interested in acquiring and it’s a matter of making sure it’s the right cultural and business fit, and it makes sense from a customer and staff level.
“We feel we need a bit more scale to aggressively attack mid-market customers in 2009.”
NT will come under the Ensyst umbrella and its 20 staff will be kept on-board. Sone said he was interested in making another acquisition in the next 12-18 months.
“I’m looking for system integrators with a particular focus on managed services that have no more than 30 staff and that operate in one to two geographic locations,” he said.
Sone will also be looking to expand the organisation into Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Ensyst has offices located in Sydney and Adelaide.
