Broadcast and post-production digital solutions provider, Digistor, has expanded its presence into the Queensland market, marking its third branch in Australia.
The branch officially opens on January 12 and will include sales, support and demonstration facility within two months of its opening date. Newly appointed Queensland sales manager, Jason Bock, said the company had been working on expanding into the Brisbane market for a while.
“For Digistor it wasn’t just a case of just starting up a branch office there but also finding the right personnel that could carry on the branch,” he said. “You’re dealing with clients that are looking for a specific solution and it’s very hard to find that type of personnel.”
To begin with, Digistor will have two staff in the Brisbane location including support personnel, but Bock said it would look at expanding later.
He will also focus on further developing client relationships.
“We’re letting our clients benefit from the wealth of experience that we have in our Sydney and Melbourne branches,” Bock said. “There are major universities that are spending a lot of money in professional video production and they need to be catered for in the same sense as a TV channel.”
Bock joined the organisation in February and previously held roles with Avid Australia, Provisual and JVC Professional (Hagemeyer).
