Sydney-based solutions provider, Harbour IT, has achieved Expert partner status with network security vendor, WatchGuard.
WatchGuard regional director, Scott Robertson, said the Expert level was reserved for partners that provide a clear commitment and can deliver solutions to the enterprise market.
For a partner to achieve this status, they need to have two certified technical engineers and two sales personnel, and commit to a quarterly revenue target. Once a partner qualifies for the Expert status they will be able to work closely with WatchGuard’s territory and channel sales teams to develop leads, identify new opportunities and win business together.
“We see them as a strategic fit for our team because they do have a national focus with branch offices across the country,” Robertson said. “We also have some other state based expert partners that focus on a particular region.”
In Australia, WatchGuard has eight Expert partners. Since reaching this status, Harbour IT can have access to sales leads, a deal registration program, discounts, rebates and marketing funds.
Robertson said it was launching a new enterprise-based product early next year and would revamp its program to coincide with it.
“We’ll be re-launching the program to recognise and reward existing channel partners, and to recruit strategic partners that introduce WatchGuard to the enterprise market,” he said. “We’re also ensuring that we’re providing best of breed training and certification to our partners.”
