My favourite book or movie… A great movie I saw recently was Gone Baby Gone starring Morgan Freeman. It poses a moral dilemma and makes you confront your own ideas of what’s right and what’s good. It’s one of the few movies I have seen where the audience sat in silence after it finished.

If I could go anywhere… it would be the Caribbean during an Australian cricket tour. Sun, beaches, music, carnival atmosphere and watching a game that lasts for five days and can still end in a draw – what more could you ask for.

If I wasn’t doing this job… I wouldn’t mind having Tiger Woods’ job. He gets to travel the world, stay in the best hotels, play great golf courses and gets paid millions for his trouble. I’d probably settle for his caddie’s job.

The person I most admire… is Bill Gates. He has given more money to charity through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation than anyone else in history. How many of us with his wealth would have chosen the “sipping margaritas on a remote island” retirement plan instead?

I really hate… calling a bank or a phone company and getting an automated service. After keying in your account number and selecting 10 more options, you finally get through to a person and they say: “Can I start with your account number?”
