Melbourne-based PC components distributor, Rectron, has inked a new deal with Patriot Memory.
Rectron sales manager, Alan Chio, said the Patriot range suited its product line up, which includes Gigabyte and Cooler Master.
Chio highlighted the distributor’s focus on the high-end PC and gaming market.
“We’ve been in discussions for a while and these high-end memory products will benefit our portfolio,” he said. “Patriot is very strong in the area of overclocking memory for high end gamers.”
Rectron will have access to the full range of Patriot products, which includes its solid state drives and flash memory devices.
“We’ve mainly partnered with online shops because they can push our products out to a wider range of customers,” he said.
Chio said he would look at possibly bundling Gigabyte products with Patriot’s Viper tri-channel kit memory, which sits well with Intel’s x58 Express chipset.
Patriot CEO, Paul Jones, said it was attracted to Rectron’s strong focus on high-end DIY PC products.
“Australia is a vast market with very active gaming societies and overclocking enthusiasts,” he said.
