HP subsidiary, EDS, has launched an innovation centre in Canberra designed to help the Federal Government with business and policy outcomes.
EDS vice-president, David Caspari, who was appointed to the role last October, said the Future Vision Office (FVO) will help to bring international innovation and thought leadership into Australia and assist the Government understand change. The FVO will act as a cross-jurisdictional network that will pool industry and government knowledge to support change across government agencies.
The FVO will be led by Nicole Cameron and senior strategist, Ross McConnell, an expert in business transformations.
"The centre is fully resourced by a strategist and small support team," Caspari said. "This is a world first for us. If it works, we will look to open similar centres to support lower levels of government and private enterprise."
Caspari said the Government's support for the Gershon Review demonstrated its commitment to innovation and change.
"We're very excited about the Review, which is linked to creating efficiencies through innovation," he said.
