Lexmark X560dn

This business class colour laser MFP with high performance and high quality colour print, scan, copy and fax functionality, has been designed for small businesses and busy workgroups. It features standard network and automatic two-sided functionality. The machine has PostScript 3 and PCL6 compatibility and can print or copy at up to 30ppm in black and 20ppm in colour. It has a 50-page automatic document feeder, multipurpose feeder, fax speed dials and intuitive workflow software to allow users to scan documents to their PC or network. Lexmark claims the X560dn offers high yield consumables to reduce the cost of printing and the level of user intervention. The consumables are 100 per cent front-loading for quick replacement. The operator panel has a four-line graphical display for performing maintenance and management tasks. The X560n MFP is backed by Lexmark’s comprehensive one-year on-site repair.

Lenovo TS100 Tower

The TS100 server is equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo or Xeon 3000 or 3200 processors and targeted at small offices utilising simple applications such as email, messaging and storing files, or for use as a Web server. The unit can be configured with up to 12 DIMMs for a maximum 48GB of memory. Available with Microsoft Windows Server or SuSE Linux Enterprise Server from Novell, the TS100 also comes with ThinkServer management tools, a software suite designed to make set-up, update and management simple and effective for SMBs without dedicated IT departments. A key tool is ThinkServer EasyStartup, a basic hardware configuration tool that helps customers with limited technical knowledge setup a server environment. ThinkServer EasyUpdate is an utility that allows users to easily identify, download and install hardware and firmware updates, while ThinkServer EasyManage, a fullfeatured tool developed together with LANDesk, allows users to oversee the performance of one or more servers from a single console.

One of the new 90 series LCD TV range from Viewsonic, the N3290w features an sleek design with high-quality colour and imaging designed for viewing movies and games in high-definition. The TV has a built-in digital HD tuner and precision 3D comb filters with motion adaptive de-interlacing and digital noise reduction to deliver consistent, high-quality digital video pictures. With 11 inputs, including four HDMI 1.3 ports, the N3290w allows for plenty of connectivity to peripherals such as cable TV and game consoles. Of the four HDMI inputs, one is located on the side, making the 90 series convenient for those wanting to connect devices such as Blu-Ray players, game consoles and high-definition cable. In addition, the new N3290w features a swivel base, enabling the screen to be easily adjusted. The vendor claims ClearPicture technology also helps to eliminate noise, increases contrast detail and optimises colour.
