Infotronics Software has appointed local systems integrators Fujitsu and Technology Trading House (TTH) as authorised dealer partners for Techtonik's OneApp and CPU Sentinel products.
Infotronics specialises in the supply of software administrator tools and niche desktop utilities to systems integrators and resellers. The Australian software distributor signed up Fujitsu and TTH as partners following the recent tour by Techtonik UK spokesman Steve Dunton, who showcased the OneApp and CPU Sentinel products at a number of seminars around Australia.
The OneApp product is a suite of applications that control CPU allocation and licensing, and is specifically designed for thin-client environments. The Sentinel is essentially a shortened version of OneApp, and is specifically designed to control CPU allocation of any application on Windows NT or 2000 Server, Terminal Server and Windows NT, 2000 and XP Workstation.
Infotronics technical director Phil Lancaster said Fujitsu and TTH are the first systems integrators to become authorised dealer partners in Australia for the two products.
He said other integrators wanting to use the OneApp product must become an Infotronics authorised partner, but no such certification is required for CPU Sentinel.
"To apply for the partner program, you must be a thin-client specialist and have a minimum of two CCEAs [Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrators] and/or two MCSEs [Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers]," he said.
Under the program, integrators must have at least one staff member per location that has completed the three-hour training course.
Infotronics offers its CPU Sentinel integrator partners an average margin of 20 per cent, while its OneApp partners receive a margin of between 35 and 40 per cent, Lancaster said.
TTH sales account manager Troy Sampson said he has been pleased with the response to the products in the Queensland marketplace. "We have already launched these products to our current Citrix User Group and evaluations are being picked up fast. There has been a lot of interest in both these products and we welcome value-add products that give our clients added security and control."
