Desktop publishing software vendor, Quark, is planning to kick off a partner program as it seeks to re-establish itself in the Australian market.
Due for launch toward the end of the calendar year, the program will be aimed at resellers focused on the design market.
“From my perspective, I’d like to put some structure and perspective around the partner model,” regional business director, Alex Nemeth, said.
“There are two categories: Retail partners, who will be predominantly focused on Quark Express and the desktop products; and enterprise solution partners that will be working with us in regards to the enterprise products and clients from a full service and integration perspective.”
The new two-track program is founded on feedback from existing channel partners.
Nemeth, who was appointed in August, was not looking to broaden the partner base extensively from its 15-20 retail and 5-10 enterprise partners but welcomed expressions of interest.
“On day one we will start with existing partners. People who are working in the design and creative space,” he said.
“At the end of the day if the phone rings and somebody says, ‘I want to talk to you about doing business,’ we are never going to shut that door.”
Partners will have access to training, joint business generation activities and an incentive program.
