Roach receives Pearcey medal

The 2008 Pearcey Medal has been awarded to Neville Roach for his outstanding life-long commitment to the ICT sector.

The Pearcey Medal is Australia’s most prestigious Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry award to an individual.

Federal Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Stephen Conroy, attended the event and presented the award.

Roach is a fellow of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and served on the board of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) during his time as CEO and chairman of Fujitsu Australia.

Two other outstanding contributors to the ICT industry were inducted into the Pearcey Hall of Fame during the evening – Dr Neil Weste and Clive Finkelstein.
