Tech Pacific is decentralising its sales staff in response to increasing demand from resellers for more comprehensive local sales support.
Tech Pacific will redeploy around 50 per cent of its staff currently employed at its national call centre in Sydney to branch offices in Victoria, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.
The staff to be redeployed include customer service representatives and technical account management assistants, said Kerry Baillie, Tech Pacific's managing director.
"In recent trips around the country, customers have told me of their need for more local contact. I'm pleased to be able to deliver on this request," Baillie said.
"The national call centre is overloaded and people just can't get through. Building our local sales support around the country is a way of increasing our services."
The redeployment should be completed by the end of July, he said.
Resellers are advised that there will be no change in the way they currently access their Tech Pacific sales contacts.
