Nortel Networks appoints Aria Communications as Norstar distributor

<p>Sydney, Australia – Nortel Networks* [NYSE/TSX: NT] has appointed Aria Communications as an Australian distributor for Norstar* Integrated Communications Systems, its market-leading portfolio of telephone/key systems for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and branch offices. A member of Nortel Networks nPower Partner Channel Partner Program, Aria will distribute Norstar business telephony solutions under the trading name of Norplex Communications.</p>
<p>Norstar Integrated Communications Systems are digital platforms that combine business communications including email, computer and telephone on the desktop. Norstar also supports advanced applications such as call centre functionality and computer telephony integration (CTI).</p>

<p>Trading as Norplex Communications, the new Australian distributor will market and support three Norstar systems:
- Norstar Compact – Offering up to four lines and eight extensions, and supporting voicemail, unified messaging and automated attendant
- Norstar Compact PLUS – Supporting voicemail, automated attendant, CTI and small call centre operation, and offering up to eight lines and 24 extensions
- Norstar Modular Integrated Communications Systems (MICS) – Supporting up to 128 ports in multiple configurations of stations and trunks, as well as voicemail, unified messaging, digital networking and basic call centre functions.</p>
