Brisbane-based distributor, NetOpt, has broadened its business product portfolio, taking on-board power protection vendor, Tripp Lite.
NetOpt product manager, Rick Nand, said the partnership was part of the company's plan to focus on niche markets.
“We’ll be spinning off the consumer and gaming part of the business, while NetOpt will focus on corporate clients and offering optimised solutions,” Nand said.
“We’ve seen lots of potential business in VoIP, POS, and datacentres. Tripp Lite has a good range of products to suit these customers, and offers green, efficient solutions.”
Tripp Lite produces a range of UPS systems, KVM switches and PDUs that cater from SMB to corporate level users.
NetOpt would not offer Tripp Lite products in bundles with other vendors from the portfolio, Nand said. Rather, it will approach systems integrators and resellers to offer the vendor’s products as part of complete solutions.
Tripp Lite is the third new vendor for NetOpt this year. It formed a partnership with WAN router vendor, SYSWAN, in March, and [[ArtID:827112290|networking specialist, Iogear, last month|New]. Nand said there were no immediate plans on forming further vendor partnerships.
