Trend Micro has expanded its Australian presence, opening an office in Brisbane and appointing Paul Cranitch to oversee the operation.

Cranitch said the additional office was to allow the vendor to better serve its current customers and to strengthen its push into the enterprise space.

“We haven’t set quantifiable growth goals, but I’ve been appointed to ensure our local clients are happy and being serviced as well as they would like, and pushing into new enterprise customers,” Cranitch said.

Initially, Cranitch will be the sole staff member operating from the office, which is located in the CBD of Brisbane.

Depending on growth an additional three or four staff could be brought on over the next few years, he said.

Before joining Trend Micro, Cranitch spent seven years with Leading Solutions. He has also held roles with GE IT solutions (now CFC), and Fujitsu.
