KAZ wins $10m Govt outsourcing deal

After being forced to revise its financial year results to the Australian Stock Exchange, which saw its share price plummet, the KAZ Group last week secured a $10 million outsourcing contract with the Department of Education and Training (DET) in Victoria.

The five-year deal is the first to draw on the recently acquired resources of Aspect Computing. KAZ will also enlist the PeopleSoft experience of BML & Associates to support DET's HR, payroll and leave modules for more than 55,000 teachers and education staff.

Under the terms of the agreement, KAZ's services business will also provide a major hardware upgrade, provide network connectivity to the Victorian Government's VicOne network and migrate the existing PeopleSoft application to a new hardware platfo
