Lenovo ThinkPad X301

An upgrade over Lenovo’s previous X300 solid-state drive (SSD) notebook, the new X301 has a 13.3-inch LED back-lit screen and comes with either a 64GB or 128GB SSD or HDD. With no moving parts, SSD technology offers greater shock resistance as well as better energy efficiency, and also lowers the weight of the system and gives users a faster boot time, Lenovo claims. Featuring an optical drive, the X301 also has a full-sized keyboard, a Web cam and dual cursor controls. The notebook is 0.9-inch thick and weighs 1.42kg. It is based on an Intel 1.4GHz SU9400 processor, which has been designed to be physically smaller than other chips in its class and reduces power consumption and heat output to a minimum. Other features include Wi-Fi a/g/n connectivity, Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and GPS capabilities. Exterior connections on the X301 include three USB slots, a microphone/speaker port, VGA-out, DisplayPort and Ethernet. The X301 comes with Windows Vista business and features a range of Lenovo productivity software and McAfee VirusScan Plus.

Distributed by Ingram Micro, Synnex, Cellnet and Dicker Data.
