HP subsidiary, EDS, has appointed David Caspari as its new vice-president A/NZ.
Caspari leaves his position as HP's technology solutions group vice-president of sales to commence his new role from November 1 and is charged with overseeing growth in infrastructure services, business process outsourcing and applications solutions areas.
In a release, EDS senior vice-president Asia-Pacific and Japan, Michael Coomer, said Caspari's appointment would help the company stay focused on growth during EDS’ integration with HP.
The release also said Caspari’s appointment will free up acting managing director, Neil Emerson, to return to his primary role as vice-president of applications services, Asia-Pacific and Japan.
HP closed its US$13.9 billion acquisition of EDS in August and has since announced that it will cut 75 local staff from the EDS business.
