Consumer electronics distributor, Strike Group, has extended its exclusive partnership with key vendor, Parrot, to 2010.
“We see a convergeance in telecommunications and consumer electronics with our customers, the major carriers and retailers in Australia. More and more organisations such as Harvey Norman are moving into the telco space with the products they carry, and Parrot is a key brand for us in that space,” Strike Group managing director, Adam Rocket, said.
Strike Group will distribute Parrot's new range of products, which includes Bluetooth car kits, digital photo frames and portable wireless stereos.
“We expect significant sales of Bluetooth car kits in the lead up to Christmas,” Rocket said. “Blueant are the main competitor in this space for us, and we feel the Parrot product offers a number of advantages.
“We’re focusing on looking for brands that offer products that differentiate themselves at a reasonable cost.”
The Queensland-based Strike Group’s other vendors include Belkin, signed in June of this year, iMate, signed in April last year, and LG, signed in 2004.
Parrot, a European vendor, has had a presence in Australia since the 1990s and a relationship with Strike Group since 2004.
