System integrator, Leading Solutions, has promoted Garreth Bohanes to national sales manager of infrastructure.
CEO, Frank Colli, was looking after the position but has relinquished the duties to focus on the strategic development of the business and potential acquisitions.
Bohanes has spent four years with the integrator as its Victorian sales manager and was previously southern region sales manager for Fujitsu. He will look after more than 50 sales staff, including solution architects. The integrator has 210 employees nationally.
Bohanes will first focus on ensuring all sales managers fully understand the company’s goals for the year and exceed its business targets. His duties also include working with key vendors to develop business plans and go-to-market solutions around new and emerging technology.
“Outside of that, I’ll also be looking to make sure that we’ve got the most highly motivated and trained sales team in the business,” he said. “With the state of the global market, it creates a lot of opportunity and I believe that Leading is in a prime position to take advantage of that.”
Bohanes said some companies would look to do more with less over a longer period of time when it came to their IT equipment.
“They will be looking at things such as maintenance contracts on their server fleet, storage and desktop environments, and trying to gain an extra year or two out of it,” he said.
Earlier this month, Leading integrated all of its state based subsidiaries under one banner.
