APC InfraStruXure InRow SC
This 12-inch wide (half-rack) self-contained cooling solution is capable of providing up to 7kW of cooling capacity, allowing IT professionals to place the unit right next to the heat load to deliver predictable, agile heat removal. The unit’s localised heat removal reduces energy costs by removing heat at the source that would otherwise require greater fan horsepower over longer distances of ductwork. Plug-and-play design allows for rapid installation without the need for refrigerant lines, providing remote heat exchangers or contracted mechanical services. Higher power densities in networking switches, servers and other IT equipment have increased heat requirements well beyond building air conditioning systems. These small rooms and wiring closets are heating up due to advances such as VoIP and power-over-Ethernet. The InRow SC maximises agility and availability while minimising total cost of ownership.

With a compact design delivering a small footprint, a low total cost of ownership and trademark ECOSYS technology creating less waste than conventional printers, the FS-1100 is aimed at SOHO and SMB customers. Designed with the environment in mind, the FS-1100 uses chrome-free steel plating and lead-free electrical wiring. Resins from recycled plastic drink bottles are used in its construction, along with halogen-free plastics which reduce dioxin emissions. Kyocera’s use of eco-friendly materials also extends to its packaging, which is foam free and constructed from biodegradable cardboard. Inks are produced from vegetable and soy dyes. The FS-1100 offers 1200dpi print resolution for high-quality black and white imaging, USB 2.0 connection and 250-sheet output/input trays as standard. A 250-sheet paper feeder, with a maximum paper capacity of up to 500 sheets, and a network interface card which can support IPv6, are optional.

Fujitsu Primergy TX120
The first-generation ultra-compact Primergy TX120 tower server, which runs on a dual-core Intel Xeon processor, incorporates low-power consumption and space-saving technologies. It has a small footprint of 340x99x399mm with Fujitsu estimating active power at 163W. Further reductions are achievable when using a Celeron processor, and noise levels of 31dB assisted by heat-pipe and straight-line cooling. For high operating reliability, two space-saving 2.5-inch SAS HDD can also be installed and mirrored using RAID 1. Use of server-class SAS disks also ensures full 24-hour operation. The three PCI slots provide excellent expansion and connectivity capability, while data security can also be assured by the installation of an internal DAT backup device. The Primergy TX120 tower server is perfect for office workspaces, for distributed and SOHO applications including retail in-store, back office servers and small office application servers.
