Sydney-based distributor, Simms International, has landed a new deal with digital media applications vendor, Roxio.
Simms will be distributing the vendor’s Apple Mac line of products including Toast 9 Titanium, which aims to extend high-definition options for burning disks on the Mac to Blu-ray and DVDs. Other products include making copies of multimedia data or converting video for playback on a broad range of consumer devices.
Simms sales and marketing director, Gavin Troxler, said the new range was a complementary fit to its Apple line-up. The distributor will be providing Apple resellers and retailers with sales, marketing, technical support and logistics expertise. The distributor currently has in excess of 300 Apple resellers on its books.
Troxler said he would also be targeting Roxio at Apple outlets and Premium dealers and would look at bundling the new range with its Apple Mac products.
“We have a fairly comprehensive suite of software products that are complementary to the Mac product,” he said.
Roxio is also locally distributed by software publisher and distributor, Mindscape.
