To help boost its mobility play managed hosting provider, Brennan IT, has hired mobility specialist, Andie Kurniawan, as its senior developer.
General manager of business solutions, David Perks, said mobility applications were becoming a prominent focal area for Brennan.
“Most of our clients are now conversant with mobile messaging and that’s causing them to turn their attention towards the use of mobile platforms and applications,” he said.
“As our customers exploit the mobile platform more and more, we’ll build a practice around that so we’re able to continue to serve the mid-market in that area.”
Perks said Kurniawan would be responsible for aiding the development of new mobile applications and features on Brennan’s mobile platform, FireMate.
“We’ll be developing mobile applications based on client demand and that could be around field force management, sales force automation or logistics. It will be a host of different business applications that are well suited to the platform,” Perks said.
“We’ve got two focus groups in mind: One is the field worker that traditionally does paperwork intensive activities; the other is the knowledge worker that needs precise, real-time information.”
Prior to joining Brennan, Kurniwan worked for DBSA Enterprises.
