Distributor 115 Solutions has sealed two new partnerships with vendors United Electrical Engineering and Microtop to take warranties and a mini PC to the Australian market.
Warranty and thin-client technology specialist 115 Solutions, as the NSW representative for United Electrical Engineering, is charged with signing up resellers across the state to on-sell the vendor's third-party warranty offering, for which it earns a commission.
United Electrical's third-party warranty is a three-year on-site warranty sold at the point of sale. The warranty can apply to a range of products, including anything from a standard PC to digital video recording devices, networks and VPNs. Primarily aimed at systems builders, resellers and retailers, the warranties cover repairs and the replacement of parts, and include customer support services.
Each warranty is undersigned by United Electrical's insurance company.
115 Solutions has also become a New South Wales sub-distributor for Microtop and is looking for resellers to take Microtop product to market. Under the agreement, 115 Solutions will distribute Microtop's SE computer, a miniature PC that is about the size of a walkman CD and has the capabilities of a standard desktop PC.
"We have had a lot of interest from the point-of-sale sector and from businesses where space is at a premium," said Rolf Latzel, managing director of 151 Solutions. "We've also seen strong demand from corporates that require portability and have greater storage requirements."
