Biostar T-Series TA790GX A2+

Aimed at gamers and enthusiasts, the TSeries TA790GX A2+ integrated motherboard is based on AMD’s 790GX chipset technology and features ATI Radeon HD3300 graphics. The board also supports all AMD Phenom-series multicore processors, dual channel DDR2-1066 memory and offers users optimised overclocking ability. The ATI Radeon HD3300 core of the motherboard features DirectX 10.1 and Shader Model 4.1 image processing support. It also uses CrossfireX and Hybrid Graphic technology to enhance gaming performance when playing demanding DirectX10 games. The TA790GX A2+ will upscale beyond 1080p courtesy of ATI Avivo HD technology, allowing users to watch Blu-ray movies on their PCs. It also features DSub, DVI-D and HDMI output interfaces, which allow users to connect their PC to their TV, and 64GB sideport memory. The T-Series TA790GX A2+ motherboard comes with dynamic power management to provide extra performance when a user needs it and is designed to provide more power savings across everyday applications. It has 10 USB 2.0 ports, 7.1 Channel high-definition audio and a gigabit Ethernet connection. The vendor claims it offers users a 3D and HD experience at a mainstream price.

Samsung EcoGreen HD103UI

The 1TB EcoGreen hard disk drive features a maximum of 334GB formatted capacity per disk and improved recording stability over temperature with PMR and dynamic FOD control. The vendor claims the drive includes technology that intelligently compensates for external disturbance, and has a SATA native command queuing feature, device initiated SATA power management and staggered spin-up support. The drive features RoHS compliance to make it more environmentally friendly, but still offers good performance with its dual-ARM based firmware, Samsung claims. The EcoGreen HDD spins at 5400rpm and has a 3Gbps SATA interface and 32MB buffer. It is ATA S.M.A.R.T. compliant for improved performance reliability and includes an ATA automatic acoustic management feature. Other features include ATA 48-bit address technology and an ATA device configuration Overlay Feature. Samsung claims the HDD runs quietly thanks to its built-in NoiseGuard and SilentSet technology. The vendor has also released the Samsung M6 Series 2.5-inch 500GB (HM500LI), a 9.5mm high HDD with 5400rpm speed.

Fuji Xerox Phaser 5550

This A3 monochrome printer comes with extensive paper handling and finishing capabilities and multiple input and output options for high-volume printing. It has the ability to print on a wide range of custom media, from postcards to tabloid sizes. The printer offers a range of printing options for collation, booklet making and edge-to-edge printing. Key features include automatic two-sided printing, 50ppm production with a first page out time of 6.5 seconds, 1200 x 1200dpi print resolution, smart duplexing and direct PDF printing. An optional 3500-sheet finisher for staple/hole punch with stacker is also available. The 5550 has a duty cycle of 300,000 pages per month, uses 10/100/1000 Ethernet for connectivity and supports SSL/HTTPS, SMTP authentication and Citrix environments. Fuji Xerox claims the Phaser 5550 uses environmentally friendly Emulsion Aggregation High Grade toner and comes with the CentreWare Internet Service, which allows a system administrator to manage a fleet of printers remotely through a browserbased set-up. It also sends email alerts to notify administrators of common occurrences, such as low toner levels.
