Fuji Xerox Phaser 5550

The Phaser 5550 is a heavy duty laser printer with a 500MHz processor designed to handle complex print jobs involving graphics, images and charts quickly. It comes with extensive paper handling and finishing capabilities and boasts multiple input and output options for high-volume printing. The Phaser 5550 has the ability to print on the widest range of custom media sizes from postcard to tabloid. It offers advanced printing features for collation, booklet making and edge-to-edge printing. Some key features include automatic two-sided printing module, a production rate of up to 50 pages per minute (ppm), a first-page out time of 6.5 seconds, print resolution at 1200 x 1200dpi, smart duplexing feature, direct PDF printing and an optional 3500-sheet finisher. The CentreWare Internet Service, allows remote management of a printer fleet through a browser-based setup and send email alerts that notify administrators of common occurrences, such as low toner levels, before it impacts on a company’s productivity.

Mitsubishi Electric XD211U

Mitsubishi Electric claims this data projector combines the features of a Digital Light Processing (DLP) chip, a newly developed optical engine and a high efficiency light source lamp to produce high quality pictures. Using Brilliant-Color technology, the projector is an entry-level DLP projector designed for office and school environments, and at 2.7kg is very portable. It has an auto search function that helps with a quick setup for presentations on the go. The XD211U also has a five-segment colour wheel and a newly designed dynamic lamp power control system for more natural colour reproduction. The projector’s Instant Shutdown function means once the presentation is over, the user simply needs to hit the power button, and disconnect the unit before being able to move on to the next task. The XD211U has a resolution of 1024 x 768, a maximum brightness of 2200lm, a contrast ratio of 2000:1 and a picture size of 40-inch to 300-inch.

NEC MultiSync EA191M

The first model in a new series, the NEC MultiSync EA191M focuses closely on environmentally friendly technologies and materials. The 5:4 format 19-inch display has been awarded an Electronics Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) silver certificate. The screen has also been equipped with a carbon footprint meter. The display has been specially developed to satisfy the demands of medium and large-sized businesses and features a high-performance PVA panel that offers more than 16.7 million colours at its optimal 1280 x 1024 resolution. The non-touch-auto-adjustment (NTAA) option constantly monitors and optimises the display’s settings when it’s first switched on and during normal operation. With sRGB support, it is equipped with a standardised colour space for the best possible image reproduction. This means the 19-inch display is ideally suited for traditional office applications, as well as for semi-professional applications such as entry-level CAD/CAM, document management or programming. It can also be turned through 90 degrees to function in portrait mode.
